Honey Stinger Introduces Organic Honey at Whole Foods
September 10, 2012
Steamboat Springs, Colo. — Honey Stinger, the leading manufacturer of honey-based nutritional products, announces the launch of USDA-certified organic honey, available now at Whole Foods Markets throughout the country. Honey Stinger Organic Honey is kosher, US Grade A and True Source Certified from Brazil.
“My family has been in the honey business for three generations,” states Bill Gamber, Honey Stinger co-founder. “I think my grandparents would be excited and proud to see Honey Stinger launching organic honey and introducing more people to the benefits of pure, natural honey.”
Bill Gamber's grandparents Ralph and Luella Gamber nurtured a three-hive hobby into the Dutch Gold Honey Company, now the largest independently owned honey company in the U.S. After moving to Colorado, Bill maintained ties to the family business, launching Honey Stinger in 2002 and offering honey-based energy bars, gels, chews and waffles targeting athletes and outdoor enthusiasts.
“With Honey Stinger Organic Honey, the athletes who use our products for racing and training can now add Honey Stinger to their morning toast, afternoon tea or in their favorite dinner recipe,” adds Gamber. “Honey is the perfect natural sweetener, but it also is a proven cough suppressant, an energy booster and a natural skin care product.”
Whole Foods has a 90-day exclusive to sell Honey Stinger Organic Honey through December 1, 2012.
