Pearl Izumi Announced as 2012 USA Pro Challenge Official Technical Apparel Partner
International sports apparel company signs on for second year.

Denver, Colo. (July 31, 2012) – Pearl Izumi will once again be the technical apparel partner of the USA Pro Challenge professional cycling road race, taking place from August 20-26, 2012. Under the two-year partnership renewal, the company will be the official cycling apparel partner for the race and will provide the classification jerseys that are awarded to the athletes daily. The in-competition classification jerseys all will feature Pearl Izumi’s patented aerodynamic sleeve construction. The company also will create replica classification jerseys that are available for sale to the public, as well as commemorative jerseys designed specifically for the race. The 2012 commemorative jersey is now available on the race website (prochallenge.com).

As the official licensee for USA Pro Challenge jerseys, Pearl Izumi will be responsible for all jerseys, including those for awards, commemorative purposes, the founder’s club and in-race category leader’s jerseys. As in 2011, race jerseys will be sold mutually online on both the USA Pro Challenge and Pearl Izumi websites. Jerseys also will be available at select Pearl Izumi retail locations. In addition, the company will offer technical apparel at the 2012 race, including jackets, socks, cycling hats, leg and arm warmers, technical tops and pants.
