Club Ride Hires PDM and Joins Bikes Belong
May 30, 2012
Press Release
Ketchum, ID - Club Ride Apparel has partnered with Bikes Belong. The Sun Valley based cycling apparel company further built upon its commitment to cycling advocacy earlier this month by joining one of the country's most prominent cycling special interest groups.
"Cyclists are still in the minority," said CEO Scott Montgomery. "Club Ride is committed to doing everything it can to make cyclists' lives better, and most importantly safer. We are proud to be partnered with Bikes Belong and are thankful for all the great work they do."
New Product Development Manager
Carrying its steady and robust growth into the second quarter, Club Ride Apparel has hired additional team members, including a Product Development Manager and a Client Services Manager.
A 30-year veteran in the outdoor industry, Becky Lamphier has been appointed Club Ride's new Product Development Manager. Lamphier has managed product lines and apparel production for Marker®, Smartwool®, and Kuhl® and has been involved every aspect of the business from design inception through manufacturing, both domestic and foreign.
With Club Ride's production levels undergoing significant expansion, the need for a full time Product Development Manager became clear. "We're growing rapidly and need more hands on deck," said Founder Mike Herlinger. "We are excited to have Becky on board with Club Ride full time, especially given her incredible experience."
A devoted equestrian, Lamphier joked, "I might have to trade in a horse for a bike!"
Originally from New Hampshire, Club Ride's new Client Services Manager, Mose Duchano, has made the Sun Valley area home for the past several years. His diverse professional background, strong work ethic, and love of biking make him an ideal fit for Club Ride. "As an avid mountain biker, I couldn't be more excited for the opportunity to work in the cycling industry," said Duchano. "Working for a young company with such serious growth potential is just icing on the cake."
Along with the additions to the full time staff, more sales representatives were added. Kip Byars will be handling the Southern California region and Tom Mantle will cover the mid-Atlantic states of Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Delaware. "We're doing everything we can to meet consumer and dealer demand," said Montgomery. "Our growing sales force has been exceeding performance projections, and we can't wait to see how the rest of the season goes."
