Colorado Springs, Colo. - The Superior Morgul features the infamous Morgul Bismark Road Race on Sunday, May 20th and is back from a 20 year absence. The 13.3 mile loop has 750 vertical feet of elevation gain with significant grades and finishes at the top of the Wall. This year, the "Wall" will be packed with spectators, vendors, an Avery Beer Garden, and the USA Pro Cycling Challenge. This truly is the "can't miss" road race on the Colorado Calendar.
The racing begins on Friday with a 6.3-mile time trial where riders will roll out of the US Pro Challenge Start House on the top of the "hump" on the Morgul Bismarck road course.
Saturday brings the racing to downtown Superior with the Summit Criterium on an "L" shaped course with a slight uphill finish.
Current Tour of Colorado leader Jesse Goodrich, Juwi Solar Cycling, will not be in Superior as he is racing in France with the US National Team on his first Euro trip! Good luck Jesse!
The Tour of Colorado is a Series of six of Colorado's finest bicycle road races featuring the Colorado Hill Climb and Road Race Championships.
