Tour of Colorado Begins Sunday
April 23, 2012
The Tour of Colorado begins its 2012 season this coming Sunday, April 28, with the Koppenberg in Superior, Colo.
One of Colorado's finest and most popular Spring Classic road races, the Koppenberg features a 5.5-mile lap with a 300' elevation gain, a 17% grade climb and 2 miles of packed gravel. It's a race not to be missed by racers and spectators alike!
The next Tour of Colorado race is the Superior Morgul on May 18-20. Also in Superior, the event features the Morgul Bismark Road Race on Sunday, May 20.
This infamous road race is back from a 20 year absence. The 13.3 mile loop has 750 vertical feet of elevation gain with significant grades and finishes at the top of the Wall. This year the "Wall" will be packed with spectators, vendors, an Avery Beer Garden, and the USA Pro Cycling Challenge. This truly is the "can't miss" road race on the Colorado Calendar.
The Tour of Colorado also features the Colorado State Road Race and Hill Climb Championships!
The Tour of Colorado is a Series of six of Colorado's best bicycle road races. Tour of Colorado is sponsored by Sand Creek Sports, Inc. and Pactimo. Tour of Colorado is a Trade Name registered by Sand Creek Sports, Inc.
